The PiPress checks in on the new Grand Szechuan in Bloomington, which was recently launched by the former chef of the well-loved Little Szechuan in St. Paul (the chef quit and took several Little Szechuan kitchen staff with him). Kathie Jenkins visited the two and proclaimed that both were worth a visit, though her explanation of their differences was a little vague...

Meanwhile, in St. Paul at Little Szechuan, the dan dan noodles aren't as good as the ones at Grand Szechuan, but the ma po tofu is better. Eggplant with garlic sauce and thinly sliced lamb with cumin are as good as ever.

If you've been to either Szechuan lately, let us know what you thought...
