Drink of the week: Om's Amber

Om, with it's freshly renovated space has a sexy-blue-Ganesha-vibe and their drink menu reflects this contemporary feel. My favorite selection was their Amber--Bombay Sapphire gin, mixed with mango and lemon juice, gently layered over crème de cassis, creating a delicate mix that is both earthy and sweet. Such a nice accompaniment to Om's spicy menu.

If the Amber doesn't speak to you, try the equally tranquility-inducing Saffron Sharbat made with Hendricks Gin, saffron infused vodka and lovely rose sharbat (which is traditionally made with pomegranate juice, rose petals, lemon peel and cardamom.). This cocktail was modified from a recipe by Troy Tindal, who won Om's drink contest held in June.
