Prefer Heineken? Hmm. A market research group found that people who drink the Dutch beer are more likely than others to believe they are exceptional, and less likely to be modest. Heineken drinkers are also drawn to luxury goods and drive sports cars about 30 percent more than others.
The study, which looked at other common beers, like Budweiser, Michelob Ultra, and Blue Moon, "found specific personalities and mind-sets 'popped' for more than half a dozen branded beer choices." In addition to looking at specific brands, it also evaluated general beer-drinking tendencies. For example, people who prefer craft beers, they found, "are more open-minded than most people, seek out interesting and varied experiences and are intellectually curious."
