Now Open: Manitou Station

• Must be a staff member, the food is really awful. The staff is good, but the prices are delusional.

• We were recently at Manitou Station and wonder why we ever bothered going in. We sat at the bar and started with some and had alright service. They had a nice little wine list, not extensive as they claim. The wine I chose was good, but not as good as the wine I had at Ursula's. We ordered some steamed clams and scotch eggs. We were not impressed with either of them. The clams were somewhat cold and the scotch eggs - must be an acquired taste, were not very good. We much prefer the appetizers at Ingredients. We do love going out in downtown White Bear, but I don't believe that we will be back...unless they change menu.

• I don't understand why people think the food is not incredible here!? I have been there many times and have been impressed EVERY time. I have even gotten to know some of the staff and the service is great because they have taken the time to get to know ME! How can that be bad service? I wish these guys the best in their efforts and will definately be back soon!!

• Ick! We had a party of 15, and while servers were excellent, food was sub-par. The Whiskey-Crab Bisque tastes like a bowl of barely warmed tomato sauce with little bits of crabmeat and no whiskey presence. I also ordered the steamer clams. Lukewarm with bread for dipping that had been on the line way too long...very stale. Not a place I will visit again.

• Thought it made sense to let readers know that we will definitely visit this restaurant again. I can say that because we've already been there twice, and the service and food was excellent both times. We enjoyed the beautiful decor and the atmosphere very much as well. PLUS, we went upstairs to check out the banquet facilities--which were BEAUTIFUL. It's a nice addition to White Bear and we wish them well!

• My experience at Manitou Station was dreadful. The service was probably the worst I've ever experienced. The prices were ok, and I think the food would have been good if it wasn't cold by the time we got it, but the service alone was enough to turn me away for good. I was really excited about this place, but I will not be returning.

• I have been to Manitou Station twice at lunch time. I love the place! White Bear has needed a bit nicer restaurtant for awhile. I found the wait staff to be very attentive and courteous. Those before me commenting on the food as being not so good obviously did not try the Reuben sandwich, the parmeson encrusted BLT sandwich or the walleye cakes, to name just a few! I plan to let a lot of friends know about this restaurant and will encourage them to try it! I'm sure the restaurant personnel will appreciate the constructive criticism and will have problems resolved very quickly. Let's support our local new businesses!

• We stopped in there last night and had a few drinks and some food at the bar. I'm not sure the food will ever be outstanding but it has a great atmosphere and a great bar! You can tell they put alot of thought into how to get a pub atmosphere. We will go back often for Happy Hour and the music on Friday and Saturday nights. I think it's a good addition to White Bear.

• What a great addition to White Bear Lake!!We came in last Saturday for food and drinks. Wow have we been waiting for this place for a long time! What I loved was that it is SO unique. There is nothing around like it. Kind of an upper end Irish Pub. Great food, great beers on tap and the only place I could find a Scotch Egg in this state! (I used to live in England) Can't wait to go back!

• I have lived and worked in white bear lake for years found my way around a few different watering holes and have watched manitou station develop from the empty lot that sat two years ago. I want to love this restaurant, I really do, but I've found myself avoiding it for not yet certain reasons. Don't get me wrong, I've checked it out a few times but there is nothing that draws me to this joint, the food was acceptable but I don't plan to write home about it, the service was hot and cold, and the bar staff was uninformed, they are trying extremely hard, and hopefully within the coming months they find their footing but right now its not on my short list. I would reccommend checking them out in hopes that you might have a better experience but I would probably wait until you're in the area...

• We absolutely loved the service/food/ambience of Manitou Station. The decor is beautiful and the food was absolutely delicious and well priced for what you got. The noise level was no different than any other restaurant. Our server, Beth, was THE BEST!!! We'll definitely ask for her the next time we visit. WB is always in need of good new restaurants. Keep up the good work! The only down-fall would be the parking; however, having to walk a couple of blocks isn't the worst thing in the world and it gets you to see some of the other cute local downtown shops.

• I LOVED this restaurant. I felt very comfortable and welcome here. The staff is EXTREMELY friendly and the food was amazing. I feel that for the quality of the food and the unique items they make, the prices are very reasonable. The banquet area upstairs is beautiful and a nice size for any occasion. I will definately be returning and recommending this place to friends and family.

• We dined at Manitou Station and we were not very impressed. It was beautifully decorated, but very dark. It was hard to read the menu. It was also very loud. It was like you walked into a popular bar on a Friday or Saturday night, but it was a Wednesday night. The food was pricey as well as the drinks. I don't think that we will be returning. Another problem is there is no parking for such a large restaurant/banquet facility.
