Now Open: Trader Joe's - Minnetonka

A new Minnetonka residents now have more cheap booze options. Trader Joe's opened Friday in the western burb, joining four other metro-area locations. Unlike the other stores, which open at 9 a.m. daily, the new store opens up each day an hour earlier, at 8 a.m.
The store was originally slated to open up nearby. According to the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal:
The Minnetonka location was Trader Joe's second choice for a Western Twin Cities suburban location. In late 2007 the retailer reached a deal to build a new store in Ridgedale Mall's eastern parking lot. That project stalled last year, however, and Trader Joe's decided to move into a vacant Cost Plus World Market store about one mile east of the original site.
