Tickets to Anthony Bourdain on sale Friday

Even in this age of the celebrity chef, the idea of paying $40 to $80 to hear a glorified cook speak at a concert hall might seem a bit over the top. Unless the chef is Anthony Bourdain. Anyone who has read his scathing memoir Kitchen Confidential or seen his Travel Channel TV show No Reservations, in which he samples the street foods and national cuisines of countries around the world, knows that Bourdain can be a hugely entertaining presence--a droll, clever cynic with a classic New York-Jersey edge.

Bourdain is coming to the State Theatre on April 23 as part of a new speakers series called "Living Legends." Tickets for the event go on sale Friday at 11 a.m. at the theater box office or Ticketmaster. For tickets and more information, click here or call 800.982.2787.
