Bell's Hopslam about to descend
Now here's something to look forward to! Bell's Hopslam is coming down the pipes, and St. Louis Park beer shop Four Firkins is taking pre-orders on the popular seasonal brew from the Michigan-based brewer. You've got til this Friday to get your dibs in on some. Otherwise you're on your own.
Hopslam is the hands down the state's most popular seasonal IPA says Four Firkins owner Jason Alvey. Bell's describes Hopslam, which is available only between January and February of each year, as "[a] biting, bitter, tongue bruiser of an ale." Here's what we had to say about it last year.
Here's how Four Firkins is doing it:
- You must buy an entire case. (A case is four six packs.) A case is $73.73.
- The person who picks up the beer must be the same person who pays for it (and of course, that person must be 21 years old).
If you're interested, call the store and order using a credit card or come by the store itself. The beer will arrive sometime next Monday afternoon. (That's January 11.) Alvey says some individiual six packs will be available for sale Monday as well, but they'll probably go quick. Six packs will sell for $16.79 each.
