Pabst Brewing is up for sale: Want in?
A couple ad companies have teamed up to create buyabeercompany.com to get enough dough to buy Pabst Brewing. They're looking for donations from anyone. Kind of a cool idea, no?

Using the "crowdsourcing" technique, the companies hope that by many folks donating as little as $5 ("the cost of a bottle of beer") the brewing giant can be bought out.
Looks like they're making quite a dent so far too. According to the site, they've got more than $75 million towards the asking price of $300 million so far.
Smells like socialism to us.
