It might sound too good to be true, but we assure you it is true. Tuesday, February 23 IHOP restaurants throughout the nation will be offering free short stacks of buttermilk pancakes. In exchange, diners are encouraged to donate money to the Children's Miracle Network.

The pancake chain, beloved by families, stoners, and college students, hopes to raise $5 million for the charity over a period of five years. This year's goal is set for $1.75 million. Last year's benefit raised $1.3 million. The event has also been endorsed by 2010's Miss America, and the beauty queen will reign Tuesday as the national spokesperson for the event.

Free pancakes will be served up tomorrow from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. for more information, visit www.ihoppancakeday.com.
