Hook & Ladder Brewing Company's first batch was brewed in the kitchen of volunteer firefighter Rich Fleischer's kitchen. Eventually he teamed up with his brother Matt to create a variety of award-winning craft beers. Recently, the brew hit Minnesotan shelves. The company gives a quarter for every case sold to local burn victim and firefighter organizations.

Over the years the brewery has donated over $60,000 to local burn units and charities in the cities that it is sold in. Although no Minnesota bars currently keep the beer on tap, they also donate a penny for every pint (or $4 for every keg).

The Golden Ale and Backdraft Brown are currently being carried at Minnesota liquor stores, which include locations such as Big Top Liquors, France 44, Haskell's, Lowry Hill, Merwin's, MGM, Zipp's, and a variety of other locations. For more info on Hook & Ladder, visit www.hookandladderbeer.com.
