Mac's Industrial vs. Skinner's reuben: Food Fight
For this week's St. Patrick's Day edition of Food Fight, we hone in on one of the holiday's most notable foods: corned beef. Notable for its frightening pink hue, the briny beef is also remarkable for its salty, rich flavor and its award-winning relationship with sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and rye bread. Here's how two local bars put together a reuben. Watch out, both claim they've got the best one in town!

Mac's reuben is massive, the slow-roasted corned beef brisket and other fillings literally too big for their marble rye britches. You really almost have to eat it with a fork. The meat is moist, and the juicy accompaniments will keep you self-consciously checking to see if you got Thousand Island dressing down your shirt. The buttery, toasted bread is a decadent plus. Mac's also has, like, 99,000 sides to choose from. It's truly impressive. The sandwich costs $9.
