St. Paul Cheese Shop's Cheesemonger sandwich: 100 Favorite Dishes

The St. Paul Cheese Shop (sister to the France 44 Cheese Shop in Minneapolis) sells all sorts of things in addition to cheese, including a long list of made-to-order sandwiches. They're made with turkey, chorizo, prosciutto, goat cheese, Brie, you name it--you can also create custom pairings. One of our faves is the shop's initial, and one of its most basic, offerings, the "Cheesemonger," in which, ironically, the cheese, provolone, plays second fiddle to a crusty roll, a heaping mound of paper-thin Salumeria Biellese salami, and a generous swipe of sweet pepper-onion relish. It makes for a hearty lunch or dinner--but you might as well pick up a few hunks of cheese to eat later, right?
