Zake: RIP

• No, Copeland's was across the street, I think where Fogo de Chao is now. But yes, it was gawdawful.

• Zake was quite possibly the worst restaurant I've ever been to. Good riddance.

• Aaron, Yes, long memory--I believe it was La Cucaracha, and before that a southern themed place maybe whose name is escaping me. Anyone?

• Wasn't it La Cucaracha before Olive Garden? That didn't last long either.

• Was Zake an entirely new restaurant, or just a desperate rebranding of Masashi? Regardless, that location spells dooooooom for all who dare to set up shop there. Perhaps Twins foot traffic will inspire another brave restaurateur to take the plunge.

• It's a fact: Minnesotans are cheap...the only thing that will work in a space that large is some type of AYCE joint ala Fogo. FEEDBAG STRAPPIN'

• I only went a few times, but the food was good. The space does seem to go on forever, though.
