No. 24: Liberty Custard's Turtle Sundae
The sweetest form of liberty is the one you'll find in a former south Minneapolis auto garage, as Liberty Custard's frozen treats are as dreamy as the firefighters who park their rigs across the street. We love the malts and cones and such, but especially sundaes like the turtle, in which silky vanilla custard is topped with gooey hot fudge and caramel, plus toasted pecans, whipped cream, and--would we have it any other way?--a maraschino cherry on top. Check the Flavor of the Day calendar online (today there's Birthday Cake and Fool's Gold). You'd be a fool not to take a pint home.
