Amazing greens from Burning River Farms

​ Get ready to bust out your canvas bags and set your alarm clocks--farmers market season is right around the corner. We've got an embarrassment of awesome markets in the Cities, and that number continues to grow. There's no shortage of places to grab killer produce or ingenious ingredients, and a recent preview event for the Mill City Farmers Market at the always-awesome Spoonriver proved why this may be the premier market in the area.

​Sonny's Ice Cream will make its farmers market debut this year. The plan is to serve from a cart and rotate between six and eight seasonal flavors. I immediately fell in love with my sample of Sonny's passion fruit sorbet, and the caramel crème brulée was as rich and creamy as you can imagine.
