City Pages Beer Festival: Get tickets now
If you love beer, you've probably had dreams like this: You're wandering around a big, open space, surrounded by hundreds of great beers, and you can drink any of them you want! 
You can make that dream a reality at City Pages' 18th annual Beer Festival, coming up on Saturday, June 5, in downtown Minneapolis. The outdoor beer-sampling event features everything from great local brews (Summit, Surly, Herkimer, Lift Bridge, and Crispin Cider, among others) to the best-known domestic and imported beers (including Guinness, Sierra Nevada, and Moosehead, to name a few). Try the latest seasonal summer brews, along with the latest lemonades and other specialty drinks. Between samples, you'll also enjoy delicious food, live music, paintball shot practice, and much more.
The festival is near the downtown theater district at 10th and Hennepin. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. Advance tickets are $26, available at select MGM liquor store locations and online at www.citypages.com/beerfest. Special $45 VIP tickets (which sold out last year) will get you into the Shock Top VIP area, with free appetizers, seating, and unlimited Shock Top samples. Tickets will also be available at the door for $30. Designated driver tickets are $8.
A portion of proceeds from the tasting will benefit the St. Paul Jaycees. The event is sponsored by City Pages, MGM, Big 10 Restaurant, SRO Productions, 92 KQRS, Love 105, and 93X radio.
