Meritage hosts Morel Fest this Sunday
In the wake of Bayport Cookery's unfortunate shuttering, Meritage has taken up the Morel Fest tradition, offering its second annual meal this Sunday. The five-course feast isn't cheap--$95, plus wine pairings for an additional $25--but the prized mushrooms retail for about $40/lb., and the Meritage team is guaranteed to cook 'em right. Among the items they're planning: Lobster Mousse-Morel Beignet, Buttermilk Poached Wild Acres Pheasant stuffed with Morels and Iowa Lamb Loin en Sous Vide.
Meritage will be suspending "Recessions Sundays" and the normal dinner menu on Sunday night. The Morel Fest menu will be the only one served and reservations are required.
