Target Field dining: Top 5 North Loop restaurants
While we're big fans of the food inside the stadium, we realize that sometimes you're going to want to hit a nearby restaurant before or after the game, too (those innings can drag on for hours sometimes...) With the Twins back to town this Friday, here are our Top 5 picks for North Loop dining.
1. Black Sheep

Just look what that white-hot coal-burning oven does to the crust, making it all bubbly and just a little bit charred--delish! That's one of the big reason Black Sheep makes some of our favorite pies in town. The hip, basement-level digs are now open for lunch, so you can stop in any time between 11:30 and 10 (11 on weekends) to get your pizza fix.
2. Toast Wine Bar![]()

You know one thing Target Field doesn't really have? A great wine list. Cross Washington Avenue and get yourself to Toast Wine Bar, which has earned many accolades for its well-curated beverage selection. They offer thin-crust pizza, as well as cheese plates, charcuterie, crostini--along with the knowledge of what you might pair them with. Extra bonus: lots of nice patio seating.
