Where am I eating?

Categories: Guess Where

Every Monday, we'll show you a photo we've snapped at a local restaurant--it's up to you to guess which one. The first person to answer correctly in the comments (be sure to leave your email address--it won't be visible), will be entered into a pool and periodically we'll draw names and award a few food-and-restaurant-related prizes.

It would seem that we here at Hot Dish might be overdoing it a bit on desert, between the ice cream, pie, and this week's featured dish, the lemon bar. But this sweet treat was just so good, that we couldn't wait to tell you about it.

There are a lot of lemon bars around town between the bakeries, bake sales, and potlucks, but this one stands out for its soft yellow gel: it's tart without being too tart, sweet without being overly so, and better than any lemon meringue pie filling we've had in recent memory. Its true genius, though, is that crust, which reminds us a bit of a buttery coconut streusel--even without the lip-smacking lemon, we'd eat it plain, like a cookie.

Can you guess where I'm eating? (Hint forthcoming tomorrow if this doesn't ring any bells...)

*Kudos to Fred Harding, who picked Stockholm Pie Shop for last week's installment of Where am I Eating, and Mehgan, for correctly identifying the pie flavors.
