Iron Chef: Seitan planned for Sunday

Seitan, also known as mock duck, is probably the most meat-like of the meat substitutes out there. Made from wheat gluten, it's chewy in texture and works especially well in curries. This Sunday, you can sample it in a variety of recipes at Iron Chef: Seitan.

The event starts at 5 p.m. this Sunday, June 6 at Ethique Nouveau (317 W. 48th St., Minneapolis; 612.822.6161), an environment-, community-, and animal-friendly food and gift store. Guests will be asked to contribute a $1 for each sample. The person with the most money at the end of the night will be crowned a winner.
