Loring Park restaurants: Where to grab a bite after Rock the Garden

Categories: Top 5

Headed to Rock the Garden this weekend? Couldn't get tickets but want to meet up with all the concertgoers afterword? Besides the obvious proximate choice, 20.21, there are a lot of good options within walking distance of the Walker. (We're still mourning the loss of Auriga--they had such a great late-night happy hour--and sad to see the space continue to sit vacant...)

Here are six picks for getting a post-concert drink, dinner, or dessert. Just be careful trying to cross the crazy, tangled Hennepin/Lyndale intersection--take the pedestrian bridge if it's finished being repaired.

6. La Belle Vie for fancy cocktails
Flip-flops and tube tops probably aren't going to cut it in LBV's main dining room, but if you're not too sloppy, you'd do all right in the lounge for one of Johnny Michaels' famous libations. We're curious to try the All New 2010 TCG 1000 (cucumber tequila gimlet with a hint of salt and black bepper) and what looks like a refined Bootleg, This Boot Was Made for Drinking (citrus vodka, gin, green Chartreuse, lemon, mint, and soda). If you're not feeling that adventurous, go with one of our standards, LBV's riff on a G&T, the Prince Albert with Earl Grey tea-infused gin.
