Stella's charges $100 for rooftop seats

• The business that should be in question here is the Star Tribune. They encourage professional deceit. CJ is a gossip columnist not a fact columnist and it is absolutely certain that there are no facts in this article. She ruins the reputation of businesses and their employees to sell papers. I have eaten at Stella's (on the patio) many times and have never been told about (or paid) a $100 minimum. Couldn't Parasole find a better way to stir up friendly neighborhood competition with Stella's? Is CJ in Parasole's pocket or does she just not have a conscience? I will never eat at another Parasole restaurant or buy another Star Tribune newspaper.

CJ is an idiot for reporting this. and you are all idiots for believing it. maybe you should actually read the article. who does reports about a business and doesn't talk to a manager or owner but talks to the owner of the business across the street.... sounds FISHY!!! anyways i go to stella once or twice a month and have never even heard of the minimum or any sort. get your facts straight people stop being like every other dumbass. just to prove that CJ isn't credible she state cafeteria has 200 tables (not seats) downstairs and 200 more on the patio. not true. this place would be insanely huge. so don't believe everything you read even though you would hope your local newspaper would be credible...

Stella's rooftop should be able to reach Drink And the Uptown Cafeteria. Or those two could launch a two-sided attack on Stella's. • You are right about the safety violations. I once peed off the deck of stellas and NO one cared. Unbelievable. But I am sure they dont mind because they understand the long lines for the bathroom arent worth it.

• Actually, Stella's is going to be closing the rooftop soon because of its many safety violations to the general public. That's why the $100 premium for seating.

• First off this is not accurate! People get your information straight. Stellas Fish Cafe does not charge you to sit on the patio. It is first come first serve. It is also still the BEST ROOFTOP PATIO IN THE TWIN CITIES. They are also adding another deck on top of there current one and will be uptowns only 360 degree view. Come one come all!

• Thanks to Chris F. Full disclosure, I work at Moto-i, but there you can always find a spot on the patio, views of downtown, happy and eager-to-please service, happy hour menus, and great izakaya food until bar time. I can't imagine this enforced rate will last. The burgeoning/revitalized intersection of Lake and Lyndale seems to be what Uptown used to look like, before the d-bag infusion.

• this cannot be true. I was at stellas 4 times in the past 2 weekends (im addicted to the rooftop and sushi combo) and have arrived during peak dinner hours. The wait on a friday night for a table is crazy long, but if you are nice to the hostess she will move you up to the front of the wait list. They never ever mentioned a price for a seat or anything crazy like that. ps i agree with bad oyster.. stellas is filled with a lot of d-bags which is the only bad thing about the place.
