Brett Favre, come back! We have Viking purple potato salad!
You can get these purple potatoes (Peruvian blue's, actually) in many local co-ops or at the MInneapolis Farmers' Market (right next to the Kettle Corn guy). They taste like regular potatoes, they just happen to be purple inside and out (like so many Vikings fans.)
Here's the recipe.

Cook 6 purple potatoes in the microwave until you can stick a fork through them without hitting anything hard in the middle--about 2 minutes a potato. Let them cool and then cut them into small pieces.
So we've got our purple.
|1 spoonful dill|
In a large bowl add
1 small can crushed pineapple - there's our gold
1 spoonful dill - green for Brett's Packer days
1 handful chopped onion - for all the tears from that interception in New Orleans
1/2 stick Philadelphia Cream Cheese
1/2 cup Daisy Sour Cream
1 spoonful Dijon mustard
salt and pepper
Stir until even, then add the potatoes and stir until just combined. Serve either warm or cold.
