Butter Bakery's gut-bustin' biscuit sandwich
I wouldn't label the Butter Bakery biscuit sandwich as the "Breakfast of Champions," but I will admit that it takes a champion's appetite to plow through this breakfast behemoth.
Teddy Hobbins Butter Bakery's big biscuit sandwich
Biscuits are the way to go when it comes to a breakfast sammy, and this stick-to-your-ribs version is so big and fluffy that you could pull a Kevin Costner and call BP to see about plugging that damn hole with one. The biscuit is surprisingly light for its size, with a pleasing texture, but it's also a bit bland. More salt, more butter please. A standard breakfast biscuit comes with a fried egg and a thick slice of legit cheddar, as sharp as Daniel Tosh. The egg was a bit absent among the other ingredients, but the cheddar had a great tang to it--a nuance typically not included in the gluttony of quick-service breakfast. Thick-cut ham rounded out the ingredient list and brought a nice salty-smoky combination to help cut through the ridiculously big biscuit. Not a bad way to start off a big weekend or attack a hangover.
Sandwich Rating: Tasty. The sandwich is a pretty good value at $6 given the size, but if you just go egg and cheese, you'd likely find the sandwich a little bland. Be sure to cough up the extra $1.50 for the ham, or the $1 for the tomato upgrade.
