Gougères at Faces Mears Park
This past Tuesday my lovely friend and fellow food blogger Crystal Grobe and I set out for lunch at the newly opened Faces Mears Park. After a tour of the expansive inside space we headed to the patio to enjoy the view of the park, where, coincidentally, what seemed like hundreds of construction vehicles were rumbling down the street. Nevertheless, we perused our menu while we nibbled on complimentary gougères.
Cheese and cold cuts at Faces Mears Park
Before diving into the rest of the menu, I knew I wanted to start with the cheese and cold cuts plate, especially due to Faces' commitment to fresh, local, and sustainable cuisine. I was a bit surprised when we were served Spanish and Italian salumi and strictly European cheeses. They were tasty nonetheless and included bresaola, my favorite cold cut.
