Seward Co-op's turkey pepper melt a cheesy masterpiece
Co-op delis are crucial time savers, and there may not be a finer one than the Seward Co-op. It's summer, and as you scramble from activity to activity you struggle to find time to keep the fridge stocked and stomach full. Thankfully, a quick stop by the deli can help you achieve both tasks. Here's one of the best sandwiches you'll find for an on-the-run meal.
Teddy Hobbins Seward Co-op's Turkey Pepper Melt
One of our favorite tricks is to swing by the deli to order a sandwich and run off to grab a few quick items as it's being made. If you're up for it, you absolutely can't go wrong with the Turkey Pepper Melt at Seward. It's a lovable, gooey mess of melted Monterey jack cheese and smoky chipotle Neufchatel. They've conjured up a killer red pepper relish to provide a bit of boldness and break through the sweetness of the caramelized onions. The turkey is lost but isn't even needed among the other flavors and residual nuttiness from grilled 9-grain. Make the deli your first stop and you've got a dynamic lunch in the amount of time it takes to gather up all the goods you'll need to get you through the next few days.
Sandwich Rating: Killer. This homage to the beauty of cheese and inspiring condiments could satisfy your grilled cheese jones any day of the week or month of the year.
