Chef Shack in contention to be Food Network's favorite food truck

Chef Shack could be #1 with your help...

​Chef Shack, pioneers of the local street food scene, have been nominated one of America's Favorite Food Trucks in the Food Network's contest. Now it's up to the voting public to push one sidewalk vendor over the top. If Chef Shack wins, they'll receive $10,000 and a chance to appear on the next season of The Great Food Truck Race. Plus, all voters are entered in a drawing for a trip to the Food Network's New York food and wine festival.

Fans of Carrie Summer and Lisa Carlson's delicious nosh, like their Indian-spiced mini doughnuts and tongue tacos, can vote online by registering and then choosing from the list of over 250 independent truck operators. Chef Shack can be found either in the alphabetical list or on the map by clicking on Minnesota. Supporters can submit 10 ballots a day for their truck of choice for the duration of the contest. Each vote cast equals a chance to win a three-day, two-night vacation to NYC to meet star chefs and restaurateurs at the Food Network's festival.

Chef Shack devotees can track the food truck's status on the leaderboard. The polls are open until September 10, and the winners will be announced shortly after that.
