​With much buzz and anticipation, Heartland Restaurant and Farm Direct Market recently opened its doors. In the century-old Market House warehouse in Lowertown, a revolution is taking place as Lenny Russo plays master improviser with a menu that changes daily according to farm availability. The space is stunning, wide-open with soaring ceilings and a minimalist aesthetic. And then there's the food--exquisite presentations of the freshest of the fresh, with two daily prix fixe menus--flora and fauna--elevating the craft of farm-to-table up a few notches.
