The Awada restaurateurs, George and Walter, have recently taken over the former Pizza Fratelli at Selby and Snelling, reports the Pioneer Press. They plan to reopen it as Sunshine Pizza, targeting students from the four colleges in the area. 
After a bit of trouble with the law, Walter Awada is back in the restaurant business.
Walter Awada used to own Awada's in Woodbury and Awada's on Plato (also called George's on Plato) in St. Paul, but both have closed after his 2003 conviction for money laundering. So leave your large, third-party checks made out to "cash" at home.
