Travail Kitchen and Amusements now open

Travail is the best thing to happen to  Robbinsdale dining yet.

​Mike Brown and James Winberg made a name for themselves with their tasty, playful pub fare at the North Side's Victory 44 and then decamped for the suburbs. Their new venue, Travail Kitchen and Amusements, in the site of the former Talula's Café, and before that, Robbin's Steak House, is poised to be the shining star of Robbinsdale's notably dull dining scene (exception made for St. Petersburg). The vibe at Travail is also pub-like--there's a Broadway Butter Burger and lots of great beers on tap, including Summit, Surly, Lift Bridge, and Grain Belt Nordeast--but when's the last time you saw oysters on the menu of a pub? In Robbinsdale? Exactly.
