​Pass through the TriTech Office Center in Minneapolis at lunch time and you can't miss it--the scads of folks lined up in the skyway for cheap Asian food. The Bamboo Shoot has been open for about two months and boasts apps, entrees, desserts and sodas, all for $1 a portion. It's a simple premise that downtowners can partake of Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Take the habitrail to Second Avenue South and South Fourth Street and see their array of dishes, which change daily.

The sign says it all

​A large sign at the entrance and free samples lure customers into the buffet line, where there are several appetizer and entree options. All are cooked fresh each morning in the kitchen located just behind the counter. According to the manager, some of the most popular offerings are Singapore noodles, sesame chicken, and egg rolls. They also take pride in their chicken fusion wraps and have a small selection of pastries and mousse cake slices for dessert.
