Dim sum hits downtown Minneapolis

I must admit I am not the authority when it comes to dim sum. My first experience was a mere six weeks ago while visiting San Francisco, and while it was delicious, I have a kryptonite: I'm deathly allergic to shellfish. This doesn't make ordering mysterious foods particularly exciting, unless of course you're a fan of the friendly game Russian roulette. When I received an invitation to preview the dim sum at Wondrous Azian Kitchen, however, I felt my chances of not being poisoned by hiding crustaceans would be better here than anywhere--and hey, free brunch!

This is how it works: The server (in most cases for us, this was owner Thom Pham) wheels up a hot cart filled with steaming baskets, and describes the options to be had. Under normal circumstances, I believe it's a decide-as-you-go based on what is in the cart. In our case, we were presented with one of what seemed to be everything on the menu.
