Life getting creepy?

It's a spooky time of year. Take the edge off with beer, wine, and all-night happy hour this Week in Food.

Monday 10/11

  • Get wet at Town Hall Brewery's Wet/Fresh Hop Week, debuting today at 5 p.m. with the release of its annual Town Hall Fresh Hop and lasting through the week. Also on tap will be wet/fresh selections from Surly Brewing, Founders Brewing, Great Divide Brewing, Rogue Brewing, and Deshutes Brewing. Savor samples of all varieties and take home THB's Fresh Hop by the growler. The wet revelry starts at 5 p.m.

Tuesday 10/12

  • There are more beer events coming this week. Take a hops break and have a spot of tea. Trotter's Café and Bakery is offering a tea and food pairing course. Sample various teas and learn what foods they complement best. $20. Call for reservations: 651-645-8950. 6:30 p.m.

Wednesday 10/13

  • Senor Wong, you know our weakness: Darkness, dragons, and all-night happy hour. Head on over to Senor Wong's downtown Saint Paul for the Surly Darkness release in conjunction with the unveiling of the restaurant's dragon sculpture. Happy hour prices will last all night long, but get there early while quantities last. 7 p.m.

Thursday 10/14

  • Be there with bells on when Cherokee Tavern in West Saint Paul hosts a Bell's Beer Dinner. Enjoy Best Brown paired with autumn harvest squash bisque soup, Consecrator Doppelbock paired with mustard and roasted garlic crusted pork loin, and Quinanan Falls paired with salad of winter greens. Top it off with a Double Cream Stout paired with molten chocolate lava cake. $40/person. 6 to 10 p.m.

Friday 10/15

  • It's only noon and you could use a drink? Escape to Manny's for a four-course wine lunch, featuring Silver Oaks wines. Manny's Chef Josh Hill will serve up a gourmet meal, including saffron crustacean bisque with pancetta, grilled Colorado pork chops, red wine braised veal cheeks, and artisanal cheeses. $75/person plus tax and gratuity. Reservations required: 612-339-9000. 2 p.m.

Saturday 10/16

  • Mill City Market closes today, but dry your eyes, mate--it's going down in celebratory style. Local chefs will demonstrate recipes with fall harvest bounty, and musicians will perform live into the afternoon. Be prepared to eat, dance, and make merry as the MCM shuts down another impressive season. 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

  • Hit up TCF Bank Stadium for the Jewish Historical Society of the Upper Midwest's Taste Touchdown. Sample delicious foods inspired by Twin Cities restaurants and selected by local food writer Sue Zelickson, sip on cocktails, and take a behind-the-scenes tour of the stadium. $36 per person. Tickets available at http://www.jhsum.org. 6 to 10 p.m.

Sunday 10/17

  • It's fright night at King's Wine Bar.
