The perfect meal if one of the things you're thankful for is the State Fair
For some the State Fair could never be over soon enough; for the rest of us, we will be pining away for food on a stick for the next 11 months. If you find yourself in the latter group, there's a great way to enjoy that food-stick sensation and celebrate the upcoming holiday season. I call it Thanksgiving on a Stick.

Follow along with the video or read below.

In a medium bowl make a simple marinade of:
2 spoonfuls balsamic vinegar
3 spoonfuls olive oil
4 cloves of garlic chopped
2 spoonfuls fresh lemon juice
and a little salt and pepper

Add 1 1/2 lbs JennieO turkey tenderloins cut into 1-inch squares. Stir to coat and set aside for anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 hours.

Make a box of Stove Top Stuffing according to the directions, let it cool. Add 1/2 beaten egg and stir. Roll into small balls and set aside.

Balls of stuffing

Put turkey and stuffing balls on skewers, alternating stuffing balls and turkey.
Place on a hot and oiled grill for 3 to 4 minutes, then flip. Allow to cook until turkey is firm.

Remove and serve with gravy and/or cranberry sauce.

Enjoy, and remember--only 319 days left until the annual food-stick-get-together opens its gates again.

Cook well,
