Eat this.
We're all over the board this week, from pasta to Asian wine pairings to roaches and rodents to fondue for boobs. It's a lot to take on, but we know you're up to the challenge of this Week in Food.

Monday 10/25

  • Get your eatin' pants on--it's World Pasta Day. There's no better place to celebrate this ingenious event than at Bucca di Beppo. The Italian restaurant, famous for serving up family-sized platters of pasta, will pay homage to its house specialty by offering a free plate of pasta when you order another small or large pasta or entrée.

Tell the gals to wear pink to be entered to win prizes like a $200 gift card from Spalon Montage. 4 to 10 p.m.

Wednesday 10/27

  • Pairings Food and Wine Market answers the question that's been boggling minds for centuries: What wine pairs well with Asian food? Chef Carlos Olivar will prepare spicy noodles from Thailand, savory spring rolls from Vietnam, and fiery curry from India, while Pairings experts cool your taste buds with wines that complement the exotic flavors of Asia. $20. 6:30 p.m.

Thursday 10/28

  • Eat weird stuff with Andrew Zimmern, James Beard Award-winner and host of the Travel Channel's Bizarre Foods. Tonight Zimmern joins Cultural Jambalaya--a nonprofit organization that uses international photography to promote cultural understanding--at its annual fundraising event, "Destination Next." Zimmern will present on bizarre foods from around the world, some of which guests will be able to try, including roaches and rodents. Walker Art Center, 7 p.m.

  • With Halloween upon us, there's no better time to offer your date a flaming zombie. Test out this wisdom at Chino Latino's Polynesian Dinner Party. Enjoy Three Swans Over Pearl River soup with duck wontons; Imperial Siam snapper with kabocha squash and lobster-curry sauce; and a Makahiki Luau pig roast with all the trimmings. And for dessert--a Honolulu Happy Ending: banana-macadamia nut bread pudding with Kona coffee whipped cream. Each course is paired with a Polynesian drink, including the aforementioned flaming zombie, the original mai tai, and the suffering bastard. With any luck you might even get lei'd. $45 per guest (plus tax and tip). Reservations required: 612-824-7878. 7 p.m.

Friday 10/29

  • Sometimes being wee gets heavy. See for yourself as Town Hall Brewery unleashes its Barrel Aged Wee Heavy Scottish Ale as part of its anniversary week celebrations. One keg only. Special pricing may apply, as well as the Pint Club members' discount.

Saturday 10/30
