Tinucci's offers free Randy Moss-themed lunch

Moss's antics lead to...a free buffet!

When an athlete acts like an asshat, the best thing a 52-year-old business can do about it is generate a little publicity. That's what Tinucci's Restaurant in Newport (396 21st St., 651.459.3211) plans to do in response to Randy Moss's recent diss of the buffet they catered for the Vikings.

The Star Tribune reports that Tinucci's will serve all-you-can-eat ribs, chicken, carved beef, a 35-item salad bar, and dessert--the same meal offered to Moss--and diners can decide for themselves what they think about Moss's statement: "I wouldn't serve this to my [expletive] dog!"

The meal will be free for the first 50 people who donate their Moss gear between noon and 2 p.m. Friday, or you can just pay $8.40, in honor of Moss's jersey number.

Pat Reusse and Phil Mackey will be doing their AM 1500 radio show from the restaurant Friday from noon to 2 p.m. The offer is not available at the Woodbury location.
