Kieran's Old Pub RIP

When Kieran Folliard moved his bar from its out-of-the-way digs at Fourth Street and Second Avenue to a more prime Block E spot, he said he'd keep the old spot open to fulfill the 19 months left on his lease. 
Kieran closes The Old Pub.
But Folliard changed his mind and closed the Old Pub last week. The Star Tribune reports that Folliard will continue to use the space for private parties such as the Green Ox dinners he's doing with chef Mike Phillips. The old space certainly had a cozy appeal, but considering the crowds that the gorgeous new space has been drawing, Kieran's fans seem perfectly happy with the alternative.
