Blue Door Pub requests Burger of the Moment submissions

Think you can design a better burger than the Twin Cities' best?

​St. Paul's most bodacious burger joint, the Blue Door Pub, is holding another one of its Burger of the Moment contests, asking fans to let their "creative meat juices flow" and design a new Blue Door jucy lucy, or "Blucy."

The constraints? Only the limits of your imagination and two free-range beef patties.

The winning burger will join the ranks of past B.O.M. winners, the Frenchie and the Pastramilicious, with a spot for his or her Blucy on the menu, alongside what City Pages has dubbed the Twin Cities' Best Burger. The best Blucy's creator will receive a B.O.M. Squad T-shirt, $100 Blue Door gift card--do they let you use it to purchase anything other than your own burger?--and some serious bragging rights.

​Blue door will collect submissions until January 20**, then narrow the list and ask fans to pick their favorite. But you'd better start brainstorming and prototyping right away. In past years, they've had more than 900 entries, and competition is stiff!
