Burger King's Stuffed Steakhouse a Jucy Lucy knockoff

It was only a matter of time before a chain tried to knock off the Minnesota classic...
Burger King is offering its first "stuffed" burger, the Jalapeño & Cheddar BK Stuffed Steakhouse burger, available for a limited time and only at participating Burger King restaurants.

To a Minnesotan, a "stuffed" burger means a two-patty pocket, a la the Jucy Lucy and its myriad variations (including the Blue Door pub's Jucy Blucy, which, by the way, is currently seeking new recipe suggestions for its Burger of the Moment contest).

But the BK burger mixes bits of cheese and peppers in the ground beef, like so:

Whaddaya think? Has BK come up with a superior way to "stuff" or will you be missing the Lucy's molten cheese core?

An innovative way of marketing is to put a lot of great stuffs describing the service they will get or the taste of the foods they can experience but trying it for real will change the way you view it.Outback SteakHouse Coupons

It's time for BK to keep to its roots and make the Whopper even better and healthier. Imitation may be the best form of flattery but BK couldn't come even close to the Juicy Lucy of TC's fame or the Bearden's "Big Bear" Burgers of Cleveland, Ohio fame. Again, it's time for BK to get back to BK basics and do their burgers as they advertise; "doing them 'our' way"!

I'd have to say BK is using a old Matt's idea to their advantage. They'll probably screw it up too with chees in pieces throughout. I remember walking over to Matt's with Mom & Dad for a Juicy Lucy with those great fries back in the 60's. Was the 58 club serving it then? I doubt it. Heck, was the 58 even open on the old Cedar, south of Nokomis then? It's a Matt's original from my experience.

@Dave, this rendering still makes me want to rolf. Only one thing came to mind when I saw this photo. And it didn't make me hungry, I can say that much!

For starters pictures in fast food ads never are the real deal. This photo is some food designers imaginary ideal of what you'll get at the counter. The soggy mess of a burger you'll actually get will taste like any other burger on their menu and have the visual appeal of a dirty sneaker.
