Tangletown Gardens first got into pickling, now it bought a restaurant.
Awhile back, the owners of the Tangletown Gardens shop at 54th and Nicollet started offering CSA shares, produce, and pickles from their Plato, MN farm.

Now they're getting into the restaurant business--across the street.

The Pioneer Press confirmed rumors that Tangletown owners Scott Endres and Dean Englemann had bought the former home of Liberty Frozen Custard across the street from their garden center. They plan to use the harvest from their farm to supply the restaurant's pantry with local, sustainably grown produce and protein.

Details are still being worked out, but one thing's for certain: the Liberty legacy will live on in the house-made frozen custard and ice cream that will be available daily.
