This frumpy brown cocktail with the foamy lip may seem a tad dull to the uninformed, but Inn-goers know better. The place, after all, put it's name on this Flip, guaranteeing a multilayered and unique craft potable that belies its humble looks. The chilled liquid slides down easily, putting your taste buds into overdrive in an attempt to identify all the flavors.

Just what is in the Inn's namesake cocktail?

The components of this multifaceted drink aren't part of most folks' alcoholic knowledge. Cynar, the artichoke-based bitter, has no less than 13 plants and herbs in its recipe. Licor 43, a Spanish liqueur, boasts 43 ingredients that it keeps under wraps, acknowledging only that citrus and vanilla play a role. The Allspice Dram, also known as Pimento Dram, is an allspice rum made from fermented molasses that is recently making a comeback. These rarities are mixed with brandy and a whole egg to a fine emulsion.

New destination for great libation

So you sit at the bar, distracted by the casual conversation and practically nonchalant presentation of the Inn Flip. You bring it to your lips and take a sip. It's Halloween, tincture, green, and citrus, and it just doesn't quit giving you hints of flavor. But did you expect any less from the team that created the late, great Town Talk Diner?
