There are way too many situations that restrict us from getting our rib on: One doesn't dare order a rack of bones on a job interview, a first date, or any meal-based meet-up that involves signing paperwork or handshakes.

Ribs are for eating in the presence of loved ones who have already pledged their allegiance, who won't take one look at a person who has smeared barbecue sauce all over her fingers, and forehead, and fanny pack...and pretend they've never seen her before.

The ribs at Willy D's Southern Style are a crowd-pleasing preparation. The meat is firm enough, without being tough, so yer yap will get a little workout, and the sauce is a glistening, sweet-spicy jam. The racks are hefty but, still, mostly bone, so finishing one off should still leave a little room to fill your gullet with fried chicken and pecan pie.
