You can visit the bar, even on your lunch break.
Even though Bars Bakery hasn't even been open six months, the little Selby Avenue shop has made itself heard over the din of the ever-expanding cupcake competition. By specializing in freshly baked bars of every variety, owner Sandi Younkin and her daughter Kara offer the kind of homemade comfort food that your granny used to make.

While the apple crostadas, caramel rolls, and croissants create the most amazing smell, it's the company's turtle bar that really sets it apart from the herd.

Step up to the bar, and place your order.

The turtle bar is five inches of everything you need in a dessert. It's flavorful, texture-riffic, and nostalgic goodness that reminds us of bake sales and brown bag lunches made by mom. This fudgy brownie bar is sweet without being cavity-inducingly sugary. And because no turtle treat is complete without pecans, Bars sprinkles each one liberally with nuts. A generous drizzle of caramel sauce adds the finishing touch, and still amazingly manages not to be too sweet.
