Try Kieran Folliard's new whiskey tonight--for free!
Just in time for St. Patrick's day, our Knight in Shining Irish, restaurateur Kieran Folliard, is releasing his new 2 Gingers Irish Whiskey.
Tony Nelson Kieran Folliard pours his new whiskey!
Folliard's Big Ginger cocktail--two shots of Jameson Irish Whiskey mixed with ginger ale and garnished with lemon and lime--has helped his bar, the Local, achieve the honor of selling the most Jameson in the world four years running. Whiskey's wild popularity spurred Folliard into supplying himself.
Here are details on where and when to be among the first to try it--for free!--tonight:
The twice-distilled, four year-aged 2 Gingers is produced by Cooley Distillery in County Louth, which is Ireland's only independent, Irish-owned whiskey distillery. It will be introduced at all of Folliard's pubs at the following times:
5:00 p.m.: The Local
5:30 p.m.: Kieran's
6:00 p.m.: Cooper
7:00 p.m.: The Liffey
Associated festivities will include bagpipers announcing the arrival of the 2 Gingers Barrel being wheeled into each pub, plus an official pouring (and drinking) ceremony that will include a complimentary drink of 2 Gingers for everyone in the house.
