Brooklyn Brewery rolls into town: Week 1

Brooklyn Brewery kicks off three weeks of launch events

​It's a great time to be a beer lover in the Twin Cities. Just as Stone Brewing Co. brings Stone Week Minnesota to an end, another high-profile brewery steps in to pick up where they left off. Brooklyn Brewery of Brooklyn, New York, kicked off three weeks (that's right, three weeks) of launch events with a beer dinner at the Happy Gnome last night. The brewery's founder, Steve Hindy, will be on hand for some of the launch events, and I've heard unconfirmed rumors that brewmaster Garrett Oliver, beer maker, food-pairing expert, and author of The Brewmaster's Table, may make an appearance at some point during the celebration. The full schedule of the Brooklyn invasion has yet to be revealed, but the first week has been released. It's a frenzy of events happening all over the metro. Three weeks of this could wear out even the most devoted beer fans.
