Bryant-Lake Bowl's grilled cheese with ham: 100 Favorite Dishes, No. 16

But when you can be seated in a hip space surrounded by all your Uptown neighbors, with a pint of local beer in one hand and a seriously delicious version of this cheesy classic in the other, why stay home?

The grilled cheese with ham at Bryant-Lake Bowl is definitely worth hauling your tush off the couch.
The key to this sandwich is the ingredients. Bryant-Lake Bowl starts by using deliciously sharp Pasture's Pride white cheddar cheese between two hefty slices of bread that are toasted until the cheese gets all melted and gooey. Purists can stop right there, otherwise you have the option of choosing from a variety of toppings including tomato, garlic, avocado, bacon and roasted organic chicken. The permutations are endless, but the combination that really makes us swoon is the classic ham and cheese. Of course BLB isn't using any old luncheon ham. This ham is thick cut with some seriously smokey flavor that compliments the cheddar perfectly. So get off the couch and let BLB cook for you.
