Wilde Roast moving to former Picosa space
We were wondering why the Picosa space at 65 Main St. SE in Riverplace had paper over the windows with miniature PEEP diorama peepholes...turns out it's signaling the arrival of Wilde Roast Cafe.

After seven years (!) on East Hennepin, the cafe's new digs will triple in size and quadruple the number of outdoor seats--and with a gorgeous view of the Mississippi's riverbank vs. the bustle of traffic. The new cafe should open in June with an expanded menu, including more locally grown ingredients and house-made ice cream just in time for warmer weather.
The Aster Cafe has already been adding some much-needed energy to the under-appreciated Riverplace strip, and hopefully Wilde Roast's arrival will have a synergistic effect.
