This Saturday, the Wedge Co-op is hosting its annual Plant and Garden Sale, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a parking lot full of organic starter plants from Garden of Eagan, premium soil amendment from Wisconsin's Cowsmo's Compost, plus other supplies and accessories. The local farmers' markets and garden stores are also pushing the same sorts of materials to help you ready this year's plot: It's finally produce season, people!

All you gardeners out there please join the Dish-cussion in the comments below and let us know where you like to get your garden goods and what you're planting this year.

Good stuff! I have never seen sprouted potatoes at the markets/gardens stores...but I've never made a point of looking for them? Anybody else seen 'em?

I'm just doing a small garden this year of frequent-use items: herbs, lettuces, chard, and tomatoes. I usually do at least one Green Zebra and one cherry tomato plant, but would love any other suggestions of favorite varieties!

Tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, hot peppers, I'll try some squash this year, mint (love mint tea), basil, rosemary, peas, beans... I also just bought some onions to try. And what I'm most excited about is a vertical potato grower my husband just built me. Now, I'm just waiting for my potatoes to grow sprouts so I can plant them. Any ideas of where I could get sprouted potatoes?
