Morgan's New World Tavern opens today
Morgan's New World Tavern opens today in the Nicollet Inn (formerly the Holiday Inn) in Burnsville, replacing the Dakota County Steakhouse and bringing the gastropub concept deeper into the suburbs.

As a sister restaurant to Rudy's Redeye Grille in Lakeville, Morgan's sticks mostly to American fare and pub classics: supplementing sliders, crab cakes, calamari, beer cheese soup, pastas, steaks, and chicken & waffles with fish & chips, Guinness-braised pot roast, and shepherd's pie.
Morgan's is cultivating more discerning drinkers with its list of craft beer and whisky, and asking for fans to make recommendations on Facebook. The one with the most "likes" each month will be added to the list.
The restaurant serves breakfast via reservation for groups of 10 or more, but is open for lunch and dinner (until midnight) daily.
