With Muddy Waters moving down the street and expanding, it was only a matter of time before another entrepreneur leased the coffee shop's prime 24th and Lyndale space.

The Southwest Journal reports that Greg Martin, owner of the popular Urban Bean coffee shop on 33rd and Bryant snapped up the spot and plans to use it to open a second Bean. The new Bean will brew coffee from Dogwood roasters and offer the same drink list as the original location.
Extensive renovations are currently underway, with the floor being stripped all the way down to the original terrazzo.
